The Development Bank of Ecuador B.P. (BDE), committed to the development and transfer of knowledge, has managed in 2020 the signing of a “Specific Inter-Institutional Cooperation Agreement between the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC), the Association of Ecuadorian Municipalities (AME), The Ministry of the Environment and Water (MAEA) and the Development Bank of Ecuador BP (BDE) ”, whose purpose is“ to establish an inter-institutional link between the parties that allows to implement in a technical, joint, coordinated and holistic way the mechanisms and instruments for the planning, design, construction, lifting, processing, validation, analysis and delivery of data, as well as the publication and dissemination of official statistical data that are previously agreed between the parties on the management of municipal solid waste and / or waste."
The environmental sanitation sector is one of the most requested among the Bank's financings. This includes activities aligned to circular economy concepts related to solid waste management through the application of new technologies, with efficient costs, ratifying the growing need for financing and access to pertinent data that make establishing the best alternative solutions possible.
